Prof. dr hab. Marcin Napiórkowski

Researcher of contemporary myths. Helps to debunk these harmful, and sometimes create new, positive mythologies. He is fascinated by consumer myths, urban legends, conspiracy theories and pseudo-science.

He is a semiotician, that is, he deals with the science of signs and communication systems. He lectures at the Institute of Polish Culture of the University of Warsaw. Occasionally, he does commercial semiotics as a consultant. He researches cultural codes and narratives for Visual and Narrative Institute reports. Author of books: "Modern Mythology", "Power of Imagination", "Rise of the Dead", "Code of Capitalism", "Turbopatriotism"
